Seasons of Change.
Every year we watch creation travel through 4 seasons.
In spring we start to see the beauty of being hidden for a time as the snow drops and crocus start to pop up to bring colour back to our lives.
In Summer we see an increase in beauty in the varieties of green trees and abundance of colours and we feel the warmth of the sun upon our faces.
In Autumn we see creation turn every colour, green to gold, red to brown and then we see the leaves drop from the trees till only the branches are left.
In winter we experience the chill of shorter days, snow and frost and the beauty of snow topped mountains.
In life we experience many changing seasons too...
Spring : where we start to move into new blessings, a freshness of spirit, moving into new callings and just a lightness in our spirit.
Summer: There is renewed energy and strength to step into circumstances with a deeper faith and life seems all in balance.
Autumn: We experience loss, we have to let go, we feel stripped and tired and everything seems to be changing
Winter: Every day feels like a struggle.
We question how we keep going? We can't see the way to go for the obstacles in front of us.
I was reminded this morning that every season only remains for a little while and I saw the beautiful truth that as our season's change they prepare us for the season to come.
Winter is when the ground is prepared to birth the colours of spring, Spring is a foretaste of Summer, Summer brings the strength for Autumn, Autumn shows us how to let go and prepare for winter.
Whatever season you are walking through know that God already knows what this season of your life is preparing you for.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”
